How much is this going to cost?

I’m guessing you got here through one of two routes:

• You’ve been on the site a lot, you know us, you have a pretty good idea of what the data-centric journey is, and you just want to know what it will take to get started, or
• You just dropped in, have no idea what we do, but hitting the “price” button is an efficient way to find out.

For those who are new here

Let’s start with the second case. This is not a freemium/premium subscription to anything. There is not $ /user /month. This is not software where you can get a quick demo. Not training.

This is professional services.

Professional services for enterprises.

More specifically, it is more like guide travel services. This is guiding you on a journey which starts where you are (all your enterprise data is scattered across hundreds to thousands of application systems, each of which has its own arbitrarily different data base and data model) to where you (hopefully) want to be, where all your enterprise information conforms to a single simple model.

This is a long journey. It took a long time to get your data as disassembled as it is. It will take a while to put humpty back together.

For those who have been around here a while

It is a long journey. Most of our clients like to break the journey into manageable chunks. The trick is getting to chunks that are big enough to make meaningful progress, and small enough to manage risk and exposure. This typically looks like 2.5- 4 FTEs of our consultants, coupled with some involvement on your side (typically light in the first project and picks up as confidence in the approach grows). We typically want to get enough implemented (in a sandbox for the first project) that sponsors and other stakeholders understand what the approach provides. Proofs of concept are typically not convincing to most stakeholders. Depending on the scope, this is usually 3-4 months.

Our rates are competitive, but they are professional services consulting rates. This should give you a very rough ballpark.

If this sounds to be in the range of the possible, let’s correspond a bit. The trickiest bit of this part of the process is finding an initial scope of work that is small enough to get done in limited time, and big enough to pilot the approach.
